dress code
The club wishes to preserve a “smart but casual” approach based on clothing that is principally designed for golf. As, however, dress sense is a highly subjective topic, the club would appreciate your support in maintaining the following standards of dress:
Ladies’ dress code on the course
- Dresses, skirts, capri pants, slacks or Bermuda length shorts;
- Shirt with mock or traditional collar;
- Sleeveless with a collar or collarless shirt with sleeves;
- Proper golf shoes (soft spikes are mandatory);
- All clothes must be clean and in good condition (no holes and not pre-washed);
- Halter top, tank top, athletic shorts, leggings, sweatpants are not permitted;
- Denim pants and/or blue jeans are not allowed on the course;
Men’s dress code on the course
- Slacks, tailored golf shorts;
- Shirts with mock or traditional collar;
- Proper golf shoes (soft spikes are mandatory);
- All clothes must be clean and in good condition (no holes and not pre-washed);
- Athletic shorts, sweatpants, fishnet shirts are not permitted;
- Denim pants and/or blue jeans are not allowed on the course;
Dress code in the clubhouse
- The implementation of this dress code is primarily the responsibility of the Management and staff of the Rockland Golf Club. It is expected that the implementation of this code will be effected with courtesy and common sense – especially as regards to guests and visitors. However, those who knowingly disregard the dress code may be asked to change their attire to suitable dress or be asked to leave the club entirely.
- The Club intends to deal severely, after a warning has been given, with players using foul language on the course or in the clubhouse, whatever the circumstances may be.
N.B.: On the two subjects – proper dress and language – members will be held responsible for their guests.
Club Liability
The Club is not responsible for any damages to golf equipment and/or personal effects belonging to members or visitors, resulting from fire, theft or other causes, within the limits of the Club property. This coverage should be provided by your homeowner’s or tenant’s insurance policy. In addition, the Club strongly recommends to all members and their guests not to leave any valuables in their parked cars while at the Club.
Breakage or damage or anyone causing damages to the course or Club property will be held liable and shall reimburse the Club for any such damage.
